Role Description:
The System Admin is responsible for complex activities and tasks relating to monitoring and maintenance of ICT servers and software. The System Administrator will conduct these activities whilst working cohesively and flexibly with related stakeholders to the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD).
Major Responsibilities:
Administer, monitor and maintain complex Microsoft technologies. Provide advanced skills in delivery of services to ICT platforms utilising Commonwealth approved designs.
Manage, maintain and administer complex Microsoft Exchange and external email gateway environments.
Manage, maintain and Administer Microsoft Skype for Business.
Create and maintain PowerShell scripts used for ad-hoc tasking and system automation.
Develop, maintain and perform operational procedures and document changes to ensure operational tasks are performed reliably and consistently to reduce the risk of unplanned outages.
Other Skills and Knowledge:
Experience in the successful delivery of complex ICT outcomes across an Enterprise.
Proven experience in Microsoft Exchange / Skype for Business along with its roles and features.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of ITIL processes and procedures is considered advantageous
Other Features:
Role is Canberra based. There may be a requirement for occasional interstate travel.
There will be a requirement to undertake occasional planned work outside the core hours, preferably during a maintenance window.
Security Clearance:
Must hold either a current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance OR have held a TSPV in the previous 12 month period (which has since been downgraded). Candidates with a current Defence Intelligence Agency recognised Psychological Assessment (PA) preferred but not essential.
Core Hours:
8 hours per day between the hours of 7am and 7pm.
Contracted personnel are to work no more than an average of 8 hours per day, unless requested to do so by the Contract Manager, and must take a minimum 30 minute break after 5 hours consecutive work.

Role Description:
Experienced systems administrator required for maintenance and integration of ICT infrastructure and security systems across the full lifecycle of the product owner’s systems.
Major Responsibilities:
Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of a complex ICT environment containing VMware, Windows and/or Linux based systems.
Contribute to the provisioning, support and maintenance of Storage Area Network (SAN) appliance, physical and virtual server infrastructure and a small fleet of desktops.
With Guidance the reliability of the system by using standard procedures and tools to carry out defined system configuration, backups, and restoring data where necessary. This includes the use of network management tools to collect and report on network load and performance statistics.
With Gudiance make sure incidents, problems and changes are captured and responded to within the IT service management platform. This includes administration of accounts and permissions.
Identify operational problems and contribute to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
Assist in documenting existing and new features and processes related to system support and enhancement.
Other Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:
Experience in administering a secure and reliable VMware, Linux and/or Windows ICT environment
Desirable:
Data processing, scripting and coding skills, specifically in Bash, XSLT, PowerShell, Python or C.
Experience in administering virtual machine systems, particularly VMware or Red Hat
Other Features:
This position can be based in Canberra or Brisbane with minimal expectation for travel required.

Role Description:
The Web Developer will be accountable under broad direction for the delivery of improvements to web applications, employing an agile software development methodology.
The Web Developer will be required to design, develop, integrate, test, and support software applications for embedded systems.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in translating customer requirements into fit-for-purpose design and end-product artefacts.
The successful candidate will be required to work cohesively and communicate effectively with ASD staff and stakeholder groups.
Major Responsibilities:
Under broad direction, perform software development activities surrounding the improvement of existing and development of new web applications for embedded systems.
Elicit and transform customer requirements into design artefacts.
Follow team/industry best practices in relation to technology choices, architectural styles and design patterns.
Implement software unit/integration tests and build scripts.
Integrate with continuous-integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) systems.
Produce and maintain high quality technical documentation in-line with team practices.Work as a member of an integrated agile team and effectively prioritise, manage their own tasks, and contribute to design reviews, stakeholder meetings and agile processes.
Other Skills:
Demonstrated experience with front-end JavaScript web development frameworks – e.g. React
Demonstrated experience with back-end architectural styles – e.g. REST
Demonstrated experience with Client-side technologies – HTML, JavaScript, CSS
Proficient with Python3, Linux systems administration, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tooling and practices
